X-acto Blade Accident

Finally stepping out of the shadows and posting something!

This happened on my way to a metal sculpture class last year.

I didn't notice that the cap on the xacto knife had fallen off in my tool bag and the entire blade was sticking out the bottom of the bag. So I got to the car and started loading all my junk into the back, and ended up dragging the blade across my right thigh.

Had to pinch my leg closed as I drove to a clinic, but 5 stitches later and I was back on my way to class.

One year after and all I'm left with is a faint scar and some itching from damaged nerves.

Re: X-acto Blade Accident

That was a nasty gash. I stuck myself with a box cutter at work, so I imagine that really hurt.

Re: X-acto Blade Accident

Nasty wound, glad it healed well. At least you get a cool story about the scar.

Re: X-acto Blade Accident

I was trying to cut something on the edge of a bench with one of those. When it finally went through; it slashed across two fingers on the hand I was holding it with. It went deep and required a trip to the Emergency Room. Lesson learned.
