Wu Xiuyou: Wolf Reportedly Bit Off Both Lips in Zhenyuan, China, 1960
Wu Xiuyou lost his upper and lower lips in a reported wolf attack while herding cattle in the mountains of Zhenyuan County, Guizhou, China, in August 1960. He was 11. Fishermen drove the wolf away, and he received first aid in his village. By July 2014, when Wu was 65, he could not close his mouth, his teeth protruded outward and he relied on soft food. He was admitted to Emei Mountain City East District Hospital in Sichuan early that month. A surgical team that included a West China Hospital surgeon planned lip reconstruction using grafts, along with dental implants, for July 19, 2014. |

I wouldn't want him near my naughty bits and I'm a female. I think he's not good for males or females. |

A wolf licking him in the face wouldn't cause that; NOMA would: NOMA (cancrum oris or gangrenous stomatitis), is a gangrenous disease leading to tissue destruction of the face, especially the mouth and cheek. ![]() ![]() Malnutrition, dehydration, poor oral hygiene, poor sanitation, unsafe drinking water, proximity to unkempt livestock, immunodeficiency disorders, (including AIDS) are some of the predisposing factors. It's most common in sub-Saharan Africa (where it's devastating), but can affect people from anywhere. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16421362 http://butterflyist.com/fionaoakes There's also a thread by chris about NOMA http://www.documentingreality.com/fo...gurement-9492/ · · · |
