He and his friend, who was successful at his attempt, had a suicide pact.

They both shot while sitting on a merry-go-round at a playground with no regard for children finding them.

PBS did a show on him trying to talk and eat. They had to put captions.

He later died of a drug overdose after many unsuccessful attempts at suicide and rehabs.

He shot himslef with if I remember right an AK47. His girlfriend was in bed next to him when he did it. There is a video of everything but the shooting part. The vidoe shows what you see here and the paramedics showing up and some other stuff. I saw the video a few years ago.

Attempted suicide and if he thought his life sucked before, now he is going to be going about it with out a face. That just sucks. Poor guy.
