Re: Wtf is Going on with These Feet?
Looks like it could be similar to the first picture below, which is a case of necrosis (tissue death) due to bubonic plague infection, which is caused by becoming infected with the organism Yersinia pestis. The second picture is one of a patient with fulminant digital necrosis in a patient with adenocarcinoma of the prostate. In other words, the guy has prostate cancer; he had rapid-onset tissue death in his fingers. As for OP's picture: It HAS to be of fulminant onset; the fucking toenail polish is still intact. They've already debrided (scraped off) the crap from the metatarsal bones--the bones "before" the toes. It appears that there's some skin damage around the tarsals, which are further towards the leg. Can I get the resident doc to confirm this? |

Re: Wtf is Going on with These Feet?
Turns out that I'm a stupid, double-posting cunt. I found the cause of this chick's foot problem. I reverse-searched the photo or whatever you call it--I PLUGGED THAT SHIT IN AND GOOGLE RE-FOUND IT. From the source: http://www.reddit.com/r/WTF/comments...n_out_of_luck/ "This was a patient that was given medication to lower their blood pressure. Evidently the medication constricted blood flow to their feet and led to the tissue dying. Similar to frostbite. Source: My friend is a doctor and took this picture. Forgive my poor medical terminology." That sorta kinda solves it. Sorry for the fifteenth double-post of the day, folks. |
