That stomach slice - I've seen tv shows with women who've had plastic surgery... unfortunately this is more common than you'd like to think.

Daily dressing change and a strong regimen of BSAB (Broad Spectrum Anti Biotics) would usually prevent these things. If the patient has no access to BSAB and dressings, at least use clean laundered dressings (clean towels, clothing items).

Rule of skin: If its wet, keep it dry. If its dry, keep it wet.
Wet means impregnate the dressing with saline or "Clean" potable water. This rule does not apply to burns!!!!!
