Wood Chipper Accident.
Wood chippers have been helpful heavy-duty machines for chopping wood for quite some time. The efficient work they do is admirable, but when this work involves a human being, it can end up like this terrible accident. Just such a case occurred with this forest worker who was trying to clear an obstruction with his leg in a wood chipper. He was pulled deeper and deeper into the machine until a colleague pressed the emergency button. Unfortunately, it was almost too late for the patient...he survived but his entire lower body was destroyed. It took a large team of skilled doctors hours to position his intestines so that they were part of the body again and then stitch it up with skin flaps. Unfortunately, life for this man will never be the same again... please always remember to turn off dangerous machines or disconnect them from the power source altogether if you need to repair anything on them.  · |
