Re: "A Woman's Pain"

How awful. You can see the pain in her eyes.

Re: "A Woman's Pain"

I feel so helpless when looking at that image. She's seemingly distressed but I can't do nothing to comfort her

Me too Images like these get to me more than images of the deceased. Poor girl is in awful pain in an awful situation and will have awful scarring. It's all so AWFUL!

Re: "A Woman's Pain"

That's so awfully sad.
Imagine how desperate she had to be to set herself on fire. Not good being a woman in that kind of country.

Re: "A Woman's Pain"

I know eh? No wonder the poor girl looks so hysterical. We've been to Egypt and dad burnt his leg on an exposed bus engine. Guess what the pharmacist gave him? Iodine! It stung like Hell too. Their pharmacies only stock basic supplies, unlike here where there's super-duper creams galore. Guess most Middle Eastern pharmacies are like that. I had a mare trying to buy essentials when I came on my period. I had to draw a diagram They just sold two choices - sunbleached boxes of Tampax or thick pads.
Would LOOOVE to see that diagram.

Hahahaha! I drew a female form (w/o nipples) with the legs slightly apart and a 'V' in between. I then drew & coloured-in some drips from said 'V' area and kept pointing to them to the pharmacist. He quickly got my meaning! He didn't speak any English at all so it was all quite awkward.

The chemist was unbelievably basic, dusty and sun-damaged compared to our big deluxe 3-floor Boots stores. They had loads and loads of tubes of Iodine.

Iodine, Tampax and Lux soap
