Re: Woman Who Smoked Through Stoma in Ads Dies
The only way to quit is to REALLY 100% not want another cig ever. If your 99.9% sure you want to quit it wont work. I tried many times but was never 100% into it. Tried all the gimmicks pills, patches, hypnotism, cutting down slowly, etc. Nothing worked. I would never smoke in a room with my at the time 2 year old son. In the car only with my window down and the cig at the window. I thought that was working until one day I looked at my windshield and it was kinda yellow. If the smoke was getting on the window then it was getting to him. I decided 100% never to smoke again. I bought two packs of the patch. I only used two patches before I decided I they did nothing for me and I have never smoked since. I feel so much better. Nothing smells and nothing is yellow.

Re: Woman Who Smoked Through Stoma in Ads Dies
It is not easy, but adverts like this helped me to quit. What kind of life is that anyways, where you have to struggle for every breath you take. Besides, I got tired of giving my hard earned money to people for things that slowly kill me. Fuck that shit, I choose life and new Guns/Fishing equip/Camping gear/Hiking gear/anything that I can show for my money.

Re: Woman Who Smoked Through Stoma in Ads Dies
I always hated the smell and coming home from clubs stinking. I'd put a towel on my pillow case or get a shower at 3 AM when I'd get home. I couldn't wait to get the smell off of me! I am asthmatic, which wasn't diagnosed until later, but, it pisses me off to see people in the humidity or freezing cold outside smoking when I have breathing issues. I want to smack them! I guess some people don't learn until something horrible happens to them such as the woman in the ads. HeadlessHorseman, I knew about the film on the car windows years ago. Smoking inside a building also leaves a film on the walls and everything else inside stinks. I may be especially sensitive, but, it's horrible! My car belonged to a smoker and the first couple years, every time I turned on the air conditioner, I smelled it. Nasty! It was a repo and the owner couldn't have had it more than a few months! Some smokers and coffee drinkers have terrible breath, as well. Some people don't reek after smoking. Some drinkers smell like vomit and some don't, along with all the internal damage and rapid aging. I guess we're all different. As Lewis Black says, "We are all like snowflakes." For all of you who have quit, I sincerely think that's great! I think you made the right choice |

Re: Woman Who Smoked Through Stoma in Ads Dies
For fuck's sake. This just made me cry. I'm a redhead and we don't cry so easy. I've been smoking for almost ten years. What the fuck. Any one have a suggestion for kicking the habit?
