A woman was run over by a bus, this Friday (19), in São Luís . The hit-and-run happened when the victim fell out of the vehicle after the driver closed the collective doors while the passenger was still getting off. As she fell, the bus's tires ran over the woman's legs. After stopping, the vehicle reversed, but then stopped again. The woman was rescued by bus passengers and other people nearby. After the accident, she was taken for care at a municipal hospital in the capital of Maranhão. The victim's condition was not disclosed. The Civil Police of Maranhão (PC-MA) reported that the case will be investigated by the Police Station of Cidade Operária. The State Agency for Urban Mobility and Public Services (MOB) reported that the bus company was immediately notified to take the necessary steps and provide clarifications within 48 hours, under penalty of sanctions in case of non-compliance. |
