NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A Connecticut woman who was attacked by a 200-pound chimpanzee revealed her heavily disfigured face on television Wednesday, saying she is blind and has to eat through a straw, but isn't angry. "I don't even think about it," Charla Nash said on Wednesday's episode of "The Oprah Winfrey Show." "And there's no time for that anyways because I need to heal, you know, not look backwards." Winfrey removed Nash's hat and veil to reveal her face, which was swollen and damaged beyond recognition. She had a large scar near the bottom of her face and a large piece of skin where her nose had been. The Feb. 16 attack occurred when the animal's owner, Sandra Herold, asked Nash, her friend and employee, to help lure the animal back into her house in Stamford, Connecticut. The chimpanzee ripped off Nash's hands, nose, lips and eyelids.  ·  · |

That's very sad. Yet another reason I hate anything in the monkey/primate/gorilla category. They're pure evil. They smell. And they are just nasty. We could do without them. Them and birds. They all should go. You would think that they coulda done a better job on her face tho. Poor woman. |

Agreed, I hate monkeys/primates too but those little monkies in the Amazon and such are cute, baboons too but they're mean fuckers. I like birds though. Yeah, poor woman, when she talks you can't even tell the hole (where her mouth is supposed to be) is moving. She even had to have a tounge made.

How sad. I was thinking this happened ages ago, but this was the attack form earlier this year. Christ man! I'd want to just off myself. Maybe I'm a puss or something, but it just seems that that'd be too hard to deal with. Glad that thing is dead. Never would've happened to me, I wouldn't go near the things. Anything the flings poo or has a sterotype for poo flinging I steer clear of. 'Nuff said. |
