Re: Woman Loses Scalp in Industrial Accident
I am guessing she may not have been covered under WC yet since it was during her first week of work. Some jobs require you be there a month or so before they cover you in the US. They could be nice and back date her coverage or be sued. I would think in a dangerous job you would be covered right away, but, like I said, it's just a guess. I do not know if we have OH&S Laws here. Someone else may know. |

Re: Woman Loses Scalp in Industrial Accident
OMG! It's too bad they couldn't have salvaged the hair and scalp. I saw a science video years back of a woman who was scalped by a machine in a factory and they were able to sew it back to her head, and attach some of the nerves as well. She had feeling, but in weird places of her body... does anyone remember seeing that? I saw it in either a high school or a college science class. |
