Woman Lived with Giant ‘Breast’ on Her Back for 10 Years
![]() WARNING: Images may be disturbing for some readers. FOR 10 years, a Dublin woman lived with a giant breast-shaped lump on her back. Firm to the touch, but not painful, the mass grew rapidly over the last three years. But it wasn’t until recently that the 46-year-old smoker got it checked out. ![]() The woman was a heavy smoker with a history of chronic obstructive airway disease ![]() ![]() Pain-free ... the 46-year-old woman said the lump didn’t hurt. Picture: bmj.com Source: Supplied Report co-author Dr Tunde Abdulsalam said the unidentified woman’s lipoma was one of the biggest he’d seen. “It is unusual to let it grow that big. Most patients would have it removed sooner for cosmetic reasons,” he told Daily Mail Online. “From my clinical experience, most lipomas are small in size. And most patients frequently leave it alone because it is relatively stable for years and does not affect bodily function. But in some cases, it can increase in size as a person’s BMI increases.” |

"A lipoma is a benign tumor composed of adipose tissue (body fat)." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lipoma So...not so terribly different from standard boobage. Except for the unbalanced aspect of it as it is a singular appendage. That is unfortunate. Must be hard to find a back bra that fits well. |

How in hell did she cover that up? Some of those moles on her back look a bit dodgy as well. I wonder if she went to the docs with the mole and the doc was like what the fuck is this? |

Re: Woman Lived with Giant ‘Breast’ on Her Back for 10 Years
Breasts have glands inside. This thing was just a blob. I also wonder just how she managed her balance. I have a friend that actually had back surgery because of her breasts. It was totally illogical to me that she didn't just have a breast reeduction because I know personally how destructive and debilitating back surgery of any kind can be. However, her breasts were her pride. That was eight years ago. She finally surrendered as the back surgery did NOTHING to correct her pain and posture problems. |
