Because they are very poor and live in remote villages far away from ANY healthcare. They have to walk for days to just got to a town where they can take a bus, taxi, or train to a city that has a hospital that would even know what this is, let alone how to treat it. They also don’t have medical insurance in these countries, everything cash. They get a bump, they just have to deal with it. Then some missionary come to the village eventually or hear about this woman and come to the village to try to get help for these poor people. I learned all of this from Body Bizarre on TV LOL The more you know.
