Re: Woman Hit in the Eye With A Pressure Cooker Lid
The woman did lose her eye and there was another one, also in Florida. An elderly South Florida woman was not as lucky. The story which had me in shock, was of a 79 year woman whose pressure cooker fell on the floor and exploded. Unidentified parts of the pressure cooker severed one of her legs from the knee down. But not for her son’s ability to put a tourniquette on it, the woman probably would have bled to death. Mirta Debesa, 79, did die about a week later from unconfirmed causes. I could not find pictures. It was from 2011 after modifications had been made to the cookers. They don't look much different to me. The top picture is the older one and the bottom, the modified one. |

Re: Woman Hit in the Eye With A Pressure Cooker Lid
dailymail.co.uk Clark Bailey, 28, from Mere, Wiltshire, thought he was helping his 30 year old partner, Vicky Snook, checking on her chicken casserole, when he tried to remove the lid. It exploded in his face. He is expected to heal. A pressure cooker similar to the one that exploded in Mr Bailey's face, (last photo) I've never used one, but, you need to read and follow the instructions. |
