Well, with V&C abortions most of the parts are kind of blended and swirled and stirred then sucked out. They kind of rummage through the baby sludge and "account" for all of the parts.

Go back and read the article. She was very ill, was on powerful medications and being exposed to radiation and because of this had a depression issue. She was afraid that with all the medication and treatments she had gone through after getting pregnant and not knowing it, the baby's health would be compromised and I don't know how someone could possibly carry a baby to term if they were so ill without jeopardizing their chance of recovery and even their life as well. I would probably have made the same decision (except that if I were so ill, I'd definitely be on some sort of birth control). However, my problem with this person is that she has 3 kids and she says her "partner" is now an ex, so it's likely that she hasn't provided a very stable home for the 3 she already has and probably was not taking precautions to keep from getting pregnant again outside a stable relationship and while seriously ill (I will conceed though that she may have been, the story doesn't say, and it failed, but that's pretty rare but it does happen.) However, I think the doctor treating her should have insisted on her being on some sort of birth control while being treated if she wasn't already.

its possible that any of available birth controls might have had less of an effect if she was already going through some crazy treatments for other ailments. and sadako, the magazine thing- not just a british thing, its a US thing too. |
