Woman Gives Birth in Public
Dominican Republic. The woman is from Haiti. Many pregnant women from Haiti cross the border to give birth on DR soil and think their offspring will get the Dominican nationality. What the article says is that actually is a false believe and they're taking up to 20% of the health/Hospital budget. |

I soooo feel for her and desperation. Been to Haiti twice. Poorest country in the western hemisphere. Gut-wrenching babies.  |

Haiti is so poor, and Dominicans despise them. There's massive prejudice against Haitians (or anyone black, because of that) in the DR.
