Re: Woman With Esthesioneuroblastoma

Just by looking at the poor woman, you could tell she was already 'dead'...her body just hadn't caught up to her yet. There is no quality of life in a case like that, making enforced living an inhumane option. In my mind, forcing people to carry on when they clearly are in no shape to is akin to non-stop physical, mental and emotional abuse. Death then is a kindness, not a crime!

Re: Woman With Esthesioneuroblastoma

seems doctors want to keep you alive as long as possible to milk as much money out of you they can. Noone seems to understand when your in that much pain and there is no hope of finding a cure, let the person decide if they want to die or not. it's their life, we should have that choice when there is nothing else left but to wait on a slow agonizing death. the world is still backwards when it comes to our own rights.

Re: Woman With Esthesioneuroblastoma

Death should be a personal choice, but should be discussed with family & loved ones prior to the event so everyone is prepared & has a chance to say goodbye.

Re: Woman With Esthesioneuroblastoma

Sorry If this has already been posted, my first post.

52-year old Chantal Sebire, a teacher, mother of 3 and stricken cancer-patient; who asked a French court for the right to end her life, by means of physician-assisted euthanasia. She wanted to finally end the 8 years of pain and agony she’d endured, caused by the cancer that had ravaged her with horrific facial disfiguring tumors. That court denied her assisted-suicide appeal, and Sebire was found dead just two days later, having taken her own life. However, authorities have labeled her death “suspicious.”
Sad. One should be able to make that decision on their own.
