Woman With Esthesioneuroblastoma
52-year old Chantal Sebire, a teacher, mother of 3 and stricken cancer-patient; who asked a French court for the right to end her life, by means of physician-assisted euthanasia. She wanted to finally end the 8 years of pain and agony she’d endured, caused by the cancer that had ravaged her with horrific facial disfiguring tumors. That court denied her assisted-suicide appeal, and Sebire was found dead just two days later, having taken her own life. However, authorities have labeled her death "suspicious." |

What a bunch of crap. The woman was in obvious agony and good for her if she did it or had someone do it for her.

Re: Woman With Esthesioneuroblastoma
I'm not either but if they have a valid reason like this poor woman I can't blame her. There are not only elderly but young people who are suffering everyday from unspeakable pain with no hope for a cure. Due to selfish family and doctors, they try to keep the patient alive as long as possible which to me is inhumane. |

Poor woman must of been in that much pain and had no choice It's cruel to let humans suffer. Animals can be put to sleep but not humans. I feel if it's our own choice we should be allowed. |

Re: Woman With Esthesioneuroblastoma
dr kevorkian is my hero. i truly believe if someone is in constant pain with a problem that has no known cure then assisted suicide is the answer. but i also understand why people are against assisted suicide. once the person is dead, who is to say that they wanted to die or not? someone may just be sick and tired of taking care of them or they may have taken out a life insurance policy on them or be a person named in the will. assisted suicide vs murder - could be a tough call for the coroner and the police dept to make.
