I wonder if the glasses she's wearing in the face reconstruction pic they just put on her because she wore glasses prior & put fake eyes in because I wouldn't think she'd even have any working eyes post attack.

A DOGSITTER whose face was ripped off in a savage 800-bite mauling has shared the amazing results of reconstructive surgery.
Jacqueline Durand had to undergo 18 surgeries to rebuild her face after two violent dogs brutally attacked her in 2021. The student from Texas had her nose, ears, lips and cheeks bitten over 800 times and her injuries left her in a medically-induced coma.

Jacqueline was just 21-years-old when she was looking after two rescue dogs who she had previously met before - Bender, a boxer and pit bull mix, and Lucy, a German Shepherd. As soon as the sitter arrived at the house she was pinned down by the bloodthirsty dogs and dragged through the corridor and into the living room.

No they're not. The first pic is Charla Nash, the chimp attack survivor. She lost her face, eyes and hands and had to get a face transplant.

The second 2 pics are the young girl who got attacked by dogs she was supposed to be dog sitting.

It's rare for dogs to just attack someone like that for no reason unless they're rabid. I wonder what she did to provoke them.

One of the dogs was a pit bull. Enough said.

A pit bull with an unknown, and probably abusive history. They are usually very poorly treated and trained badly because of what they are. It’s extremely sad and frustrating to me when people treat animals badly then the animal does something like this.
I’d love to have my way with people who hurt animals, but especially pets.

And the shepherd most likely was following the pit bull, but they are another dog who can be very badly treated.
I wonder if this was the girls first trip to their home with the owner not present… Shepherds are very protective. It’s possible that the dogs were just protecting their home. Which makes this even more of a tragedy.
