For the record, this is called bouldering, and it's designed to specifically be done without a harness. That's why the ground is bouncy. Then again, this is also why you're told to land on your feet and roll back. Trying to break your fall with your arms is always gonna be a bad day. |

That looks about the same height as the one I go to. Generally you try to downclimb once you reach the top rather than just jumping down, but it's padded enough that a fall even from the top is fine (as long as you fall with the right technique and don't try breaking your fall with your arms).
