Man, honestly.. I don't see how a pitbull could do something like that. A month ago, we got a Pitbull/Rottweiler.. she's the sweetest dog I've ever had, and she loves to be around a lot of different people. Seems more like the owners are the idiots to me.

Never mind that most of the worst attacks are by sweet loving pit bulls that are misunderstood and demonized by the press. Pit bulls are nice and if you dont think so we will wish you death and destruction and tell our dogs to eat you.

I am no expert, but I think she be DEAD. It saddens me to the core that humans have so bastardized and meddled with dog breeds that some are more violent than others. Even the dog whisperer says pitbulls will NOT let go. They scare the shit outta me and alot of others. I am deeply and truly sorry for the dogs. I am sorrier for their victims which are often kids. These breeds and their reputations, whether completely deserved or not, are by human hands.

*sigh* there are two major enemy of the pitbull. Pitbull haters, and pitbull lovers. The only friend the 'pitbull' has is the the human with enough sense to know what is what. The American Pitbull Terrier is DOG AGGRESSIVE. it is RARE to find a "pitbull" who is dog friendly. Anyone who says other wise is part of the problem. Pitbulls are NOT human aggressive. and if you come accross one that is, it is human error, Back yard breeding without temperment testing is a BIG part of that. It actually breaks my heart, because my APBT IS human (male) aggressive and dog aggressive he is the WORST example of a pitbull ever, i love him, but i also love the breed. so i feel no shame in admiting my dog SUCKS as a pitbull. The american PitBull Terrier, by BREED SANDARD is so human friendly you could set it on fire and it would STILL jump up in your lap and lick you. A real apbt terrier is the LEAST human aggressive dog ever. You get people who say "oh they were abused, it's why they are aggressive" Not alway the case, and these people contribute to the problem. Genetics does influence it. That is why REAL reputable breeders not only health test but temperment test. If a real breeder has a human aggressive dog they cull ( which i don't agree with, why not just fix?) so the dog cannot further the problem. If there is a pitbull "attack" on a human this is NOT a REAL pitbull. And is in fact a resault of human error. Human aggression with APBT is NOT normal and only a big thing due to ignorant back yard breeders looking to make money. This really is a wonderfull breed that PEOPLE have messed up. No matter what though dog aggression is expected (not the rule, but it happens more often than not) as is "prey drive" Due to there back ground and genes most pitbulls will get a long with cat, rabbit, rats...small things. even dogs smaller than themselves. But they like a challenge any animal (save for humans) bigger than them they have a VERY high prey drive. The most dangerous people to apbt's are people who ignorantly hate them and know nothing of the REAL breed (as i have seen a lot here) and people who think the breed is perfect (which i have also seen a lot here) The breed standard for an APBT is NON human aggressive, but VERY dog aggressive. They are strong, loyal, VERY intelligent and very determined. I honestly, owning one myself, do not think just anyone should own the breed. People who think these dogs are "sweety pies" are a testimate to that. A pit bull WILL Succeed in anything it set's it's mind to, they are an amazing god, but bad breeding, bad ownership, and bad training can resault it horrible accidents. My dogs can never be around another dog, and we socialize, trained, this dog has never even been yelled at (we used poisitive reinfocement) but he is dog aggressive. He also HATES men, so we have to keep him away from sitiuations where he will do something wrong, we prevent a problem by knowing our dog. ANY and ALL problems that happen with dogs are not the dog's fault, they are the resault of an ignorant, idoiotic owner failing there dog. And every dog hat gets put to sleep because it bit someone is a tragedy because the owners of said dog should be in jail for letting it happen. I own the worst example of an american pitbull terrier, but i never go around claiming "oh he's perfect he wouldn't hurt a fly" I know what an APBT is, and i do not own a breed standard one. I own a horrible attitude ridden dog, but i love him. Which is why, knowing his fault i would NEVER take him to a dog park or leave him alone with a child. or...you get the idea. *sigh* i HATE people who blame the victim, but 99.99% of the time the person who should be blamed is the dogs owner, not the dog. Not always for abuse, but for idiocy. Most pitbulls will not even react to abuse! they don't "turn mean" thats one of the reasons they are so fucking beautiful. they forgive so easily, it's hard to abuse a pitbull until it is cruel. TEACHING it to be aggressive, though, is different, a pitbull will be the best at anything you want it to be. The biggest enemy of the pitbull are owners who ignorantly say "my pitbull would never hurt anything" they are ignorant and honestly know nothing of the breed. Your REAL average WELL BRED pitbull, will kill another dog on pronciple, but lick your 3 year old to death. A REAL pitbull will fight and win any fight it has at a dog park, while being best friend to your house cat. A real pitbull will kill your cow, and then come inside and curl up next to your baby and gaurd it. KNOW the breed, and stop saying they are killers, STOP saying they are perfect non aggressive animals. They are an amazing beautiful dog, and after reading and responding to comments in this thread i'm astonished and heart broken and how much ignorance still exists on both sides, pit lovers and pit haters. Come on, educate yourselves you idiots. |
