Excuse me, can I sue these people?
I had eight piercings done on my ears. They all got infected.
I had surgery a few years back, and now I need surgery again. This is inexcusable!
If I could sue them, what could I sue them for?
Malpractice?

When I got my ears pierced the first time around, they didn't heal well and were so nasty and crusty that when I cleaned them, I found the back of an earring embedded in the wound.

I'm allergic to nickel, but, I can feel the itch right away and never wear the earrings again. I guess some jewelers try to save money. I used to have three holes in each ear and went back to one due to too many problems. I also know of people who get that cheesy smell from not cleaning earrings enough. Mine come out nearly every night and get cleaned before being put it and I still put alcohol on my ears after thirty years or so. I'm the 0.01% of the people who has the reaction to whatever it is and I'm used to it now :)

This is really interesting. I had no problems and all mine were done with a gun. Guess I'd go to the tattoo/piercing place instead, now.

I think some of the posted photos were from years of wearing heavy earrings. I never wear anything longer than 1". We need to think of what happens when we get older.

Nickel, I can detect immediately! I have to take the earring(s) out. Being the 0.01% with a reaction to everything, you get used to it :)

Mine were all done with guns, but, I took the posts out in a couple of days after the piercings and put in gold earrings. I think there are alot more germs and contaminates out there these days and they keep getting stronger.

One of my girls has piercings and and a tattoo, the other has none, not even her ears pierced, that's how she chooses to be different.

But the one that does have them has always gone to a 'real' piercer, even for her earlobes, it's just safer.

I got my ear pierced at the mall when I was a kid around 12 or so years ago and the dumb bitch put the hole too high. Now it's a pain trying to find a hoop large enough to fit right. Yea, don't go to the mall for any piercing.
