Re: Why You Should Not Get Pierced at the Mall.
Did my ears in my bathroom looking in the mirror, used a safety-pin... Turned out just fine, gauged em to 9/16 and took em out for $100. Nothing wrong with a basic piercing gun for simple jobs like ear/nose. Shit, I paid $50 for my lip piercing... I coulda done that shit for $3... Piercing is nothing special, it takes pretty much no talent to push a hallow needle through flesh, it's a waste of money to have someone else do it. Do some research, know where nerves are likely to be found and stab away... nothing else to it! |

Re: Why You Should Not Get Pierced at the Mall.
OP sounds like a fresh out of the classroom piercer to me. While I understand that you have a passion for your practice.. between you suggesting to "get an ear pierced with a pair of scissors, it's safer." and then damning just about every other person in this thread, well.. I don't know, something just screams "bullshit." It's like a tattoo artist arguing between the gun method or traditional tebori tattoos... yeah, your shit will get fucked up either way if the PERSON WORKING ON YOU doesn't know what the fuck they were doing. It's your body, it's (more or less) permanent.. stop being fucking retarded kids, do your research, find out if getting pierced by needles or the gun is for you, then MAKE UP YOUR OWN GODDAMN MIND. It's body modification, your own goddamn body. Fuck these little scene kids who try to throw their bullshit your way. Research for yourself, be smart, and treat your body with respect.. and if you do that, for some reason... I think cases of being pierced by some shoddy ass hairdresser in a mall will be thwarted by common sense. Because even if aforementioned shitpiercer used a needle, I still get the feeling it would get infected. |
