This is Why You Always Put Your Kid in Carseats
Ok so this is my second post and I hope I chose the right forum to post this. This is an accident my former babysitter got into with my son in the car while I was at work. The story is she was running late for a wedding and it was raining outside and she was going about 65 mph on a busy road around 6pm. She was weaving in and out of traffic and lost control and hydroplaned into on coming traffic, she first hit an 18wheeler in the back ties breaking the wheel axel, when she hit that it pulled the battery out so the airbags never went off. Then she continued on and hit two more cars head on. While I was at work I got a call from a paramedic saying to get there ASAP! I freaked and drove as fast as I could and to my amazment my son was fine!! All he had was a bruise around his neck where the carseat stopped him. My former babysitter was not so lucky she was 4 month pregnant and was not wearing her seatbelt so she took out the whole center console with her body and hit her head on the windsheild. She was rushed to the hospital and thank god she didn't lose her baby she just had a head injury and to this day suffers from serious migraines. So the moral of this story is be careful who you let watch your kids and Always, Always, Always keep your kids in carseats. The first pic is of my son before I took him over there I keep it to remind me that it could have been the last pic I ever took of him. The next few are pics of the car my FORMER babysitter was driving and the last one was one of the cars she hit head on. I just hope this post reminds people to ALWAYS put your kids in seatbelts.

Be thankful your babysitter took time to put him in a seat and buckle him in. You kind of make it sound like she is a horrible person. I think that we all,at one time or another has been in a rush to get somewhere. She may be a terrible driver, but I really don't think she is completely irresponsible. I'm glad your son is fine |

Don't mean to make her sound like a bad person...I just feel like she should could have been more careful. I am just trying to get the story out there that at anytime something can happen so it is important to take the time to make sure everyone is safe. If it makes you feel better we are still friends and her daughter (the one she was pregnant with) is my god-child.

Glad your son, and the babysitter and her baby are alright. But yea, glad you fired her too! That's just plain irresponsible as a babysitter and a future mother, wtf
