I can't help but wonder if these are simply the victims of genetic defects. It amazes me how quickly people just assume that they are inbred.

Actually the bottom pic is of the same condition that, Amie Osborn, a physician who works in Houston, Texas suffers from, Treacher-Collins syndrome - wikilink. I can't remember her name but will post it in a few. Treacher-Collins is an Autosomal Dominant condition, a genetic mutation inherited from the father on the Y chromosome.
