Another thought, how sad that so many people can't afford or be provided with a simple antibiotic. A $2 shot of penicillin in the beginning would have solved this. Instead, this poor man lives like this for years, and goes through months of grueling treatment. The level of antibiotics needed to fix this, and the duration, probably caused severe side effects.  |
