Sorry, I took this from a site where the photographer was doing a project to see how fast maggots "clean-up" roadkill. He didn't say what the animal was. Here in the boondocks, where I live we just call anything that gets killed by a car "road pizza", although this one could have been called "White Pizza" ! hee hee

Looks like a possum! Used to see a lot of those poor fellows flattened in my home town... Though I can't help but wonder how many of them ask for it. I had a full grown male try to take on my car in a fight. Ended up sitting on that neighborhood street for a good five to six minutes waiting for him to get bored and move on.  |
