Re: Wet Wipes Provide Lifelong Eczema
Ya, you are right. It just looks a little green and crusty for eczema.

Re: Wet Wipes Provide Lifelong Eczema
There might be something to this, at least from my experience. My wife used these sort of wipes on my son's face when he was a toddler. It was a quick and easy way to get the sticky little bugger mopped up after meals or snacks. Well, not surprisingly, he had mild eczema on his cheeks quite a bit. So after working with our doctor, we started using only hypo-allergenic-type products for everything that came in contact with his skin. We stopped using those wipes on his skin, and I inherited the stock of wipes (which is how I initially got stocked-up on them as boot-cleaning rags.) After about 6-months, we didn't have any more problems with the eczema. We just switched the entire family to using hypo-allergenic products and he never had any more skin problems. (He's a teenager now, so I think we dodged the eczema-for-life bullet there.) But this thread has me wondering if it was those damned wet-wipes that were giving him eczema the whole time. |
