Wet wipes in Denmark is pulled back after multiple people has reportedly gotten eczema from using the wipes

Wet wipes containing the preservative methylisothiazolinone (MI), can cause allergies . That is the warning from researchers.

- We already have more than 10 years ago decided not to apply MI - and other substances of concern - in our own brands , but now we are taking the unusual step of pulling branded completely out of the stores. The reason is that a new report by the EU Scientific Committee has concluded that the use of MI are not sure . Then we will no longer sell a product that contains it , to be used for babies
The problem is that the drug can cause eczema , and you get it as a baby , you will have it for life .

- The substance is also used in some products for adults , and here we recommend our suppliers as soon as possible to remove the products ,

The number of confirmed cases of allergies due to MI just a few years doubled. It has got the EU Scientific Committee to recommend a ban , but it will probably take years before it will take effect.

Just looked at some impetigo victims but it looks more like a combo because impetigo is more spotty where eczema is more a grid'd pattern or maybe it's caused by the methylisothiazolinone.
