*Video Added* Brush Your Teeth and Tongue!
Sorry it's so short! Still looking! In dentistry, calculus or tartar is a form of hardened dental plaque. It is caused by the continual accumulation of minerals from saliva on plaque on the teeth. Its rough surface provides an ideal medium for further plaque formation, threatening the health of the gingiva, (gums). Brushing and flossing can remove plaque from which calculus forms; however, once formed, it is too hard and firmly attached to be removed with a toothbrush. Calculus buildup can be removed with ultrasonic tools or unique hand instruments, (such as a periodontal scaler). |

My friend is a dentist, and she used to do work in prisons. She said some of the inmates (especially meth users because of the way it makes them crave sugar and dries out their mouth) had so much plaque buildup that the plaque was all that was holding their teeth in. Plaque would cover the roof of their mouth and when she removed it some/most/all the teeth would come with it.

I saw a show about meth addicts in prison getting all new teeth! I wish my dental coverage was that good that I could look purty for all the other girls if I were in prison I also know at AA and NA meetings and some rehabs, the beverages are loaded with sugar. Seth Brundlefly would love it · |
