I know, I was being facetious. :) You're right, the only picture I've seen of a man (that I know of, it's hard to tell when just body parts are shown) is the one of the man in this thread with the cuts all over his stomach area. But for all we know, men might do it just as much, they just might not be as open about it, not as willing to share with people, trying to uphold your stereotypical "manly man" image that has been cultivated over the years. (Sort of like in Predator when Jesse Ventura said "I ain't got time to bleed".)

That particular pic is of an illegal immigrant who was being held in a detention centre here in Australia after arriving via a people smuggling boat. There were protests in the detention centre and he self harmed as a form of protest - so that one's a little different actually:)

I've known guys who self harm with burns...that seems to be the male equivalent. But, once when I was in the ER for another unrelated problem, there was a guy there being stitched up after doing some real serious cutting. Maybe guys are less likely to share it?
