it can be very very painful

... people who drink excess alcohol and iodine (I think, from memory) rich foods are prone to gout too.

Well, I am Sicillian, so yea on the "rich foods". While I don't partake of alcohol, much, I have on occassion, and can drink most everyone I know unda the table! Hey! My Grandma used to give me hot tawdies when I was a toddler. Helped me sleep, she maintained. OF COURSE IT DID! I was frickin drunk! I wasn't sleeping - I was passed the fuck out!

My oldest has this. He really hates that he had to pretty much give up red meat.

It's caused by eating too rich food. Like meat. That last photo was awesome. Would love to see your toe as well.
