So this is where I found that first photograph via google image search and retraced the URL to the home page of the office of medical history for the US army (I guess) and here's the link to the information on 'cold injuries' http://history.amedd.army.mil/booksd...ry/default.htm if you scroll down to the INDEX the first section called "illustrations" is where you'll find a whole host of photographic evidence relating to both frostbite and trenchfoot. I've had a place the last day reading over all the information and viewing the photographs.
