Re: *UPDATE* Lifesaving Dog Who Lost Snout & Upper Jaw
That's a tear jerker! I'm glad we're back online! It was weird, the day after I found that story, I was on the phone with a Norton Security person in the Philippines and that and two other pictures were the only ones still on my system so I thought. Anyway, he said he knew of the story and I told him she is in the US now. What a PITA that was! I had to go through 2,500,000 pictures and pull mine. I lost almost everything posted on this site, except some burn victims and three of the Victorian death photos. Fortunately, my personal photos are on facebook and either printed and on disc, if they're film, or on my digital camera. I like film better. |

And to think, originally, the dog was brought home to fatten up and be had for a meal or two. Fortunately, the daughter talked her father out of it, and they raised it as a pet.

Re: *UPDATE* Lifesaving Dog Who Lost Snout & Upper Jaw
Now that is getting more real. And that drivel about the dog 'throwing itself in front of a motorcycle to save two people'. What garbage. Dogs aren't that clever. There are plenty of ill, diseased and sick people in the PI, but people still spend a fortune saving a single dog, that was dying of disease anyway???? There are millions of starving, sick, emaciated wrecks of dogs all over the PI, and people spend $thousands saving this one mutt. I guess it makes a nice, heart warming all-American story though..... And we have 12 dogs, in case anybody was wondering if I'm a dog hater. |

Re: *UPDATE* Lifesaving Dog Who Lost Snout & Upper Jaw
Quite what did the dog do though, apart from lose her snout? Did she 'push' the two girls out of the way? My punt on the subject would be that the dog just happened to be there with the girls, got hit by the bike, which narrowly missed the girls, and the fairy tale story was written about it, in that glamorous newspaper selling style the media always operate when trying to sell copy. |

I just donated on the careforkabang site. It shows how close the bond is between dogs and their families. Our dog gets between people if she thinks they are fighting, always defends the smaller person too.

Re: *UPDATE* Lifesaving Dog Who Lost Snout & Upper Jaw
i love my dog. i would do anything for him (4000$ to treat a blown acl with tplo surgery). however i'm sure he would've let me get squished. oh well.
