Yesterday I went in for surgery on my Arm to release and uncompress the Ulnar nerve which goes down your arm and provides sensation ( And I believe ) Movement in the little finger and ring finger.

Due to UK health and safety regulations I wasn't allowed to have my anesthesia and surgery recorded, However I did find a couple video's of the surgery and a doctors explanation of the whole procedure which I have downloaded and have attached.

Yeah I'm fine, I'm in a fair bit of pain but these tramadol and codeine and paracetamol are really keeping it at bay lol.

Had this same procedure performed on my left elbow and Carpal tunnel release on both wrists.
My post op looked completely different, but kind of obvious considering different surgeons and all.

I've had it done in both elbows along with right and left carpal tunnel and wrist nerve release. Never seemed like a difficult surgery until a doctor messes one up . Oh well, that bastard can rot. Your incision looks really good for just having it done! Hope the healing process goes well for you!!!

I've been suffering from Guyon's canal syndrome which involves the very same nerve: the nerve in question provides sensation in the little finger and in the HALF of the ring finger

I do the 90% of my job on a keyboard, so after the surgery i was like a runner missing one leg, more or less. I didn't pay much attention to it at the start the symptoms were just feeling of pins and needles, i realized it was serious only when it was too late and surgery was needed. It would have taken to me about 16/18 months to fully recover the use of the two fingers involved, but massages and acopuncture accelerated the recovery, after a couple of months everything was ok.

Yeah most of my time is spent on computers too, Though I think that my nerve was injured through leaning on my elbow and/or sleeping with my arm beneath me and compressing the nerve that way.

I only noticed there was an issue when I got total numbness in my little finger and the right hand side of my ring finger, Glad to hear you've healed up

My stitches come out on thursday so I'll probably have another updated pic afterwards
