Why do they get so scared? The worst that could happen is dry drowning if their throats spasm during swallowing it. Their reactions of pure fear seem overkill

So I’m curious about how this kind of thing is handled. He’s showing signs of being infected so no matter what he’s going to die. Does the hospital euthanize people like this? Or does everyone wait until he expires on his own after being strapped to a hospital bed for whatever duration?   he dies?!

The Virus is only spreadable through saliva so it over rides the brain and gives the person a deathly fear of water so that way the person has to salivate and drool and not swallow the saliva therefore spread the virus. Its the only way it can happen, so the Virus adapted. It does this on every animal and human it infects.

They wait until the person passes. In the US they have started sedating the patients so they dont have to go through the symptoms awake. According to the CDC, There have only been a about 30 patients that have made it all the way through and survived.
