I don't know much about horses with deformities, but I wonder if one could pull a Winter (the dolphin without the tail) and make durable legs for the foal. If I remember correctly, there have been elephants without feet (due to land mines mostly). Perhaps it would be possible to come up with something for a horse? I know based on movies, if a horse hurts a leg bad enough it gets shot. At least that's how they used to do it. All I can say is that any attempt at artificial limbs would have to use extremely sturdy materials. |
