I think the doctor should have wiped the paper clip off with alcohol after burning the tip. He was wearing gloves though!

I worked with a woman who slammed one of her fingers in a file cabinet and had it done. She said it was a big relief as well, but, at the hospital, they used a needle. |

Wish I had this done when I was 8 yrs old..Was getting into a Old Dodge Challenger that was parked up a very steep hill...big old heavy assed door slammed shut on my thumb...my whole thumbnail and then some was black for days..and yeh..I was a kid..I cried like a little bitch for hours  |

i remember having this done when i was a little girl. i was four or five years old i think; my finger had been slammed in my aunty's front door. it was black and the pain was incredible! i was taken to the ER and all i remember is people holding me down and a pair of flaming scissors being pressed into my fingernail. i was screaming a LOT and very loudly.
