Trench Foot
Trench foot, also known as immersion foot, occurs when the feet are wet for long periods of time. It can be quite painful, but it can be prevented and treated.

Happened a lot in WWI, probably where it got its name from, considering the trench warfare.

My grandfather got trenchfoot in WWII during the battle of the bulge. I don't think his was that bad, but he suffered with circulation problems and numbness in both feet for the rest of his life.
