Treacher Collins syndrome (TCS), also known as Treacher Collins–Franceschetti syndrome, or mandibulofacial dysostosis is a rare autosomal dominant congenital disorder characterized by craniofacial deformities, such as absent cheekbones.

Treacher Collins syndrome is found in about 1 in 50,000 births. In a number of cases a genetic origin is described. The typical physical features include downward slanting eyes, micrognathia (a small lower jaw), conductive hearing loss, underdeveloped zygoma, drooping part of the lateral lower eyelids, and malformed or absent ears.

So sad. But does because they look like that on the outside; it doesn't change who they are on the inside. The next to last guy could be proof (if that's his girl) as she is very pretty.

I knew a guy like this. I used to volunteer at school for the handicapped children and he was one of the therapists involved there. Real nice guy. I asked him what happened, if he got burned or something but he said 'no, I was born like this". Later on, he used to pick up my son from me when we had at home visits with CAS. My son was freaking the fuck out, until I was like hey! Sean, how are ya, and he saw he was a very good friend of mine then everything was cool. On an unrelated note, he and everyone I know who worked for those people got fed up and quit.
