Tracheal Shave in Male-to-Female Transsexual
A tracheal shave is an operation to 'shave' down the Adam's apple. It's usually done under only local anaesthetic. It's also known as a Chondrolaryngoplasty, although that term can apply to anyone having their Adam's apple reduced for any reason, whereas these pictures are of transsexuals undergoing the procedure as part of gender re-assignment. Possible risks of this surgery include complete and permanent loss of voice. |
