Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis

Nineteen year old Eva Uhlin now boasts a new entity, which rose again after the heavy rare disease, which disfigured her skin. The disease known as toxic epidermal necrolysis, also known as scalded skin syndrome, which developed after she had transferred an allergic reaction to paracetamol.

After taking paracetamol she awoke the next morning, she did not recognize herself in the mirror. The skin on her body turned red and covered with horrible blisters. She said "it seemed as if something were crawling under my skin, it looked like a horror movie."

Over time, the skin darkened, scabbed and shrunk. It has because of this diminished in volume and literally clenched hands, legs, buttocks, thighs, breasts and even her face, like a zombie. The girl's face was so badly damaged that there was a period when she could not open her mouth. It took a long-term treatment in Swedens University Hospital in Linkoping (Linkoping), they more or less restored her face.. However she is sensitive to sunlight.

Eva said: "What happened was terrible, as in the horror film. I felt like something crawling under my skin. I was shocked. "

One of the physicians' Eve said that this disease is very rare - one in a million people. However, this disease (also known as syndrome Liella) kills 40 percent of those who have it diagnosed.

Re: Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis

Sad. I have to hope she's getting a lot of attention when it comes to depression and her altered body image. She's a pretty girl either way - no bullshit.
