A loculated abscess causes Necrosis and liquefaction to occur as cellular debris accumulates, becomes loculated and walled off as a collection of pus beneath the epidermis. She presented to the emergency department and then to the ICU for potential airway compromise. She did not have to be intubated. She was downgraded two days later and eventually discharged from the hospital. |
