Tonsil and Adenoid Removal
I'm 22 and I had to have my tonsils removed due to over production of tonsil stones and my adenoids because they were swollen. It was so painful since I was an adult (Apparently it's not as painful if you have the surgery as a child.) so three days after surgery I was back in the hospital with sever dehydration and needed an IV. I spent two weeks only drinking tea and chicken broth. I thought sharing the before and after pictures here would be good |

Re: Tonsil and Adenoid Removal
Had mine out @31. Fun times, gave me a ton of liquid lortab. Heard the same, children have an easier recovery. Guessing it's due to less surface area to be cauterized? Was like, "Ah, cool, save money on cigarettes.." Half hour at home following the surgery and there I was puffin on one... (I quit smoking a year later. |

As for all of that "You can eat all the ice cream you want following tonsilectomy!" Yeah right..ice cream and dairy in general is the last thing you want... |

Re: Tonsil and Adenoid Removal
One of the few things I get squeamish about is wounds like that are inside a mouth, all I can think of is how bad it must taste And damn I had some saliva duct stones and they hurt! When I saw how small they were I felt like a wuss tho haha! Good to hear you won't have to worry about any more stones back there lol |
