Re: Tod Browning Movie, 1932
One of my favorite movies. Side note: there was no physical intimacy between the two engaged midgets, Hans and Frieda because they're brother and sister. The man who played 'Hans', Harry Earles, was one member of the Lollipop Guild in 'Wizard of Oz'. |

Tod Browning's Freaks is an awesome movie that shows the true side of what is called "humanity" if that can truly be called that, the real monsters are the "normal" people this is one of my all-time favorite flicks......

Re: Tod Browning Movie, 1932
Warnings: (1) This is a full length feature film. Be sure you have 2 hours set aside to sit back & view it. (2) Actual freaks such as the pinheads and Prince Randian (the limbless man) were cast in it. The former may not have ever been aware that they were in a movie, but they enjoyed the publicity & attention. (3) The movie was banned in many places and ruined Tod Browning's reputation. |

Re: Tod Browning Movie, 1932
The Devil Doll airs in the US. Johnny, whose last name I forget, but, the man who walked on his hands, had a twin brother with his entire body. Johnny lived alone in Baltimore, MD, and was robbed and beaten and spent the last few years of his life alone and would not go out anymore. He was a nice looking man. I'm only posting on this because I had mentioned it in a previous post and just found it. |
