The safety cell of a SMART car is one of the strongest on the market believe it or not it actually held up better when crash tested against a Volvo 740 at (I think it was) 50 mph.
But when faced with a closing speed in excess of 100mph (at least) and a 40+ton big rig head on there will almost always always be only one outcome…
