Thyroid Cancer Post-op.
Discovered a golf ball size lump on my neck - 'abnormal cells' spread to chest tissue and affected my glands and nodules. I was diagnosed on my 17th birthday with a short time to go (in a month I would have had no voice as the tumour was collapsing against my voice box). My scar starts from the right side of my neck and finishes behind my left ear. This is the aftermath of my op. All clear now Pic 1: a few hours after the op with the drains still intact. Last 2 pics are a year after the op. |

Re: Thyroid Cancer Post-op.
Wow! That looks like it would be really scary! My mom has a scar like that as well. She had her thyroid worked on in the early 70's. The job she had insisted that she stay super thin, so a doctor suggested it. I guess it worked, but she paid the price for sure! |
