I know this is a late post, but hsve you considered suing your doc? The one who didn't treat the osteomyelitis because he didn't believe how much pain you were in? My god, he'd have to be a really special, gifted surgeon because if I was in your shoes I'd be pissed. It would be understandable if circumstances were different.... But his non treatment caused further irreparable damage.
I hope you sue him, he's got malpractice insurance.
I absolutely detest frivolous lawsuits, but my word! You have a case there my dear.
