Thumb Tip Amputation Due to IPad...
This is my thumb... Earlier this year I took the screen protector off our broken iPad screen, it had no shards of glass...so I thought and so stupidly (as fuck) I swiped my right thumb across the screen to unlock it. While doing so I got a grain of glass the size of sand, stuck in my thumb. It didn’t bleed or anything.... Anyways to keep it short and get to the good stuff...lol...I ended up getting a Strep A infection, then gangrene, three surgeries amputating more and more of the tip of my thumb each time. Then I ended up with osteomyelitis and had the bone turn to mush (because the fucking dr wouldn’t listen to me when I said how much it felt like bone hurt, during my first debridement. Well that didn’t go as planned...the pics were in order. Sorry guys...I suck..I blame my thumb and now horrible typing skills? Anyways, I forgot add that the pics are over 3 months. And now that it’s healed, finally...I have permanent bone, nerve and tendon damage due to the injury but also being on heavy duty antibiotics via a PIC line for three months.  |

Yep. I wish I had taken a pic of my thumb right after. It didn’t bleed, there was no visible wound, nada. It split open (the pic of the clean nice cut) right before I went to bed that night. The blackened cut, is now it looked the next morning. Should have explained it better. Sorry! |

Well I’m an artist and right handed. I have to wear a brace on my elbow and thumb...and take nerve blocking pain meds, and will need more surgery....but yes I have. Don’t have a choice. Lol
