Thoracentesis To Remove Pleural Fluid
Thoracentesis is a procedure to remove fluid from the space between the lungs and the chest wall called the pleural space. It is done with a needle (and sometimes a plastic catheter) inserted through the chest wall. |

Re: Thoracentesis To Remove Pleural Fluid
I worry I may need this someday. (maybe soon) 2008 i was Dx with Cirrhosis. (I'm 6 years+ sober now.) Last month after an ultrasound due to me having pain in my upperleft quadrant, they Dx me with Fatty liver disease and Hepatosplenomegaly. (enlarged liver and spleen) Not sure how it's all gonna go about from here.. But at least I don't feel like drinking.. |
